All for the kids

We came, we fought, we conquered. No man was left behind (see, our training paid off) as the Simaniacs completed challenging obstacles and difficult terrain during the Fight to the Finish Extreme 5k race. And just as the name suggests, it was a battle all the way to the end: we crawled through mud pits, leapt over fire, jumped into a Dumpster of ice cold water and even got shocked with electricity.

More than $35,000 was raised through the event to help the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. And knowing that we played a small part in that made every moment worth it.

Kudos to CHOI & all the volunteers for putting on a fantastic event. Looking forward to the (non-extreme) Telethon on June 2: http://choi.osfhealthcarefoundation.org/page.aspx?pid=969
