The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the daily contact between the agency and the client and manages projects for their assigned accounts. The Senior Account Manager interfaces with various staff members to move projects through the agency on behalf of the client. Your experience in working with larger clients, knowledge of marketing communications strategies, as well as the ability to develop accounts beyond the existing relationship will contribute to your success.

You will also:

• Lead and assist in the development of strategic initiatives
• Develop and write strategic marketing and communication plans and implement those plans accordingly
• Estimate projects and manage client budgets
• Write insightful conference reports and creative briefs
• Provide all necessary background and input for other agency departments to execute their project responsibilities (budget, timeline, reference material, creative brief, etc.)
• Coordinate non-creative freelance and research projects and manage the freelance and vendor relationships
• Review creative work with appropriate parties to ensure client’s strategic goals are met
• Identify and pursue additional business opportunities from existing accounts
• Mentor account coordinator on billing, estimating, client relations, creative reviews, project management, etc.
• Evaluate billing worksheets and initiate invoice process when necessary
• When assigned, collaborate with the business development team on proposing and pitching for new business

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in marketing (or similar concentration) required
• Seven years of account management experience in an agency or other related environment preferred; five years minimum
