Account Staff Members Promoted

January 2009 - Simantel recently promoted two members of its account services team. Jaclyn Fones has been promoted to Account Supervisor and Barry Littlejohn has been promoted to Account Manager.

Fones joined Simantel in 2005 as an Account Manager. A 2004 graduate of Bradley University, Fones holds a degree in advertising. Her experience at Simantel includes management of key Caterpillar events and trade shows, such as CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 and the Worldwide Dealer and Supplier Meetings in 2007. She is also currently leading the firm’s efforts on the Build The Block campaign for the new Peoria Riverfront Museum. In her new role, Fones will set strategic direction for the accounts she oversees as well as develop and support the account team.

Littlejohn joined Simantel in 2007 as an Account Coordinator. A 2004 graduate of the University of Montana, Littlejohn holds a degree in environmental studies and wildlife biology. During his time at Simantel, he has played an active role in growing Simantel’s partnership with Caterpillar Global Mining, most recently helping support the Cat exhibit at MINExpo 2008. In his new role, Littlejohn will continue to manage Simantel’s partnership with Cat Global Mining. Outside of his agency responsibilities, Littlejohn serves on the board of directors for Camp Big Sky, an organization that offers outdoor activities for children and adults with disabilities.

“We are proud to be able to promote our employees from within,” said Kevin McConaghy, agency principal. “We believe strongly in Jaclyn’s and Barry’s dedication to the agency and to their clients, and we feel their experiences have prepared them for greater responsibility. We are grateful for their efforts and look forward to what’s to come.”

Founded in 1980, Simantel, a premiere marketing and communications firm located on Peoria’s riverfront, takes pride in building and leveraging brands to help clients achieve bottom-line results.
