Simantel Adds Office Space To Downtown Peoria
January 2011—Over the winter, Simantel added 1,300 square feet of office space adjacent to our headquarters at 321 Water St. The new space—site of a former dance studio—rests in a converted brick warehouse along Harrison Street in Downtown Peoria.
The added elbow room has enabled Simantel to expand both our Digital and Branded Products capabilities, in order to better serve clients.
"This was done at the same time as the renovation to our office on Water Street," said Rick Richardson, Chief Operations Officer. "The driving factor was to be able to accommodate growth in headcount and to provide additional meeting space."
As part of the remodel, we added a new conference room, as well as a dedicated work area for the still-growing Digital team. Accounting personnel and the Branded Products division moved to the annex next door.
With more room, Branded Products can more efficiently house and ship inventory—including fulfilling merchandise orders from client webstores.
"Branded Products has expanded so much. This gives us a designated area to hold products for our clients and to manage outgoing shipments," said Wendy Wheatley, Branded Products Account Manager.
This is the latest move in an ongoing expansion of Branded Products. In 2009, the promotional products division (formerly known as Image Element) was aligned under the Simantel name to help clients develop comprehensive, targeted marketing solutions.
Meanwhile, Simantel is pleased to utilize existing building space amid public and private efforts to revitalize Peoria's scenic riverfront.
