What you’ll do:

The Digital Asset Specialist works with the Motion Media team to manage video and still digital asset archives, including legacy sources, new camera sources and completed edit masters. This includes maintaining proper logging, tagging and organization. They will also support the Motion Media team with other tasks, as needed.

This role requires a self-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to multi-task. The Digital Asset Specialist should have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and foster strong relationships.

How you’ll do it:

  • Research, upload, download, and log assets for Motion Media team
  • Maintain proper metadata entry in our Digital Asset Management platform, Extensis Portfolio
  • Update and maintain Extensis Portfolio by compressing, importing, indexing, and tagging new assets
  • Assist in importing our vast library of video asset archives into Extensis Portfolio
  • Archival of camera original sources – requires knowledge of current camera codecs in use
  • Fulfill ‘footage and image requests’, as needed by searching and retrieving archived assets, compressing, and delivering them
  • Assist the team with tasks related to logging of newly acquired assets
  • Additional logging and transcription support, as needed

What you’ll need:

  • Experience logging video content and tracking metadata
  • Extremely strong organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple demands
  • Flexible, receptive, and open to change
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented and a problem solver with a desire to contribute to the creative environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in video production, editorial, or post-production
  • Experience using various media management tools, like Extensis Portfolio
  • Experience using various video compression tools
  • Experience with LTO tape archival software/hardware
  • Experience using Windows, Mac, MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
  • Knowledge of various camera types/formats/codecs
  • Knowledge of Premiere, Final Cut, Resolve, etc. a plus
