Locked in & let loose

Ever do a lock-in when you were a kid? Remember how loopy you’d get, huddled overnight in a gym/school/church? We sure do. Some of the best ideas are sparked by midnight oil. That’s why Simantel is locking a dozen folks—including writers, designers and digital experts—into the Greater Peoria Family YMCA on Aug. 27. For 24 hours, our team will brainstorm fresh ways to promote the local Y.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your feedback, impressions, opinions and ideas on how to drive memberships and awareness. So the YMCA is opening its doors to EVERYONE for a whole day, totally free. Come shoot hoops with us on the full-sized courts. Take classes like Zumba Step and Yoga Flow. Join us in the 50-meter lap pool. Watch us huff around the 1/16-mile fitness track.

We’ll stay up all night to crank out a creative communications campaign and present it in the morning. Meanwhile, you’ll enjoy a free peek at this fantastic facility. And when you sign up on-site for a membership Aug. 27, the Y waives all joiner fees.
