Privacy Policy

Protecting the security and privacy of your personal information is of utmost importance to Simantel. Please read this Privacy Policy to get a clear understanding of what information we collect, how we use it and how you can update, manage and delete your information.

We also understand that terms such as “personal information”, “personally identifiable information” or similar words may be defined differently or have different meanings in different places. This Privacy Policy is intended to also help clarify what we mean when we use those terms.

What Information Do We Collect

Non-Personal Information May Be Collected Automatically

We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you if you are just browsing our website ( However, even if you aren’t registered and haven’t signed up for anything, we may automatically collect and store some non-personal bits of information related to your visit and we may use unique (but non-personal) identifiers that allow us to keep track of that information. Unique identifiers are strings of characters that can be used to uniquely identify a browser, app, or device. These identifiers serve a number of useful purposes, including security and fraud detection or remembering your preferences. Many of you may be familiar with the IMEI number of your mobile phone – that’s a unique identifier that is incorporated into your device by the manufacturer.

As a general rule, non-personally identifiable information is information recorded in such a way that it no longer reflects or references an identifiable individual. Examples of non-personally identifiable information we collect can include the type of Internet browser and operating system you are using to visit us, your IP address, the domain of the website you came from (sometimes called a referring URL), how many times you visit and the date and time of your visits and the average amount of time you spend on our site. Sometimes we may also be able to identify the application or device you’re using to browse our site, the operating system, mobile network (including carrier name and phone number) and even the interaction of your apps, browsers, and devices with our site.

Personal Data & Information You Give Us

Of course, you may voluntarily choose to provide us with personal information. Personal information is information you provide to us that personally identifies you (e.g., your name, e-mail address or any other data that can be reasonably linked to such information by Simantel). For example, you give us personal information when you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, receive e-mails or other communications from us, or when you send us e-mails, information or other content. You might also give us personal information when you respond to an online survey, fill out forms or use certain features and functions we may provide on our site. This type of personal information typically includes data such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, company or other details which identify you personally.

In addition to all the information we may collect, as described above, we may also collect information about your activity on our site. For example, the words you search, the pages, videos, content or other materials your browser opened or selected. Sometimes your location can be determined, with differing degrees of accuracy, through your IP address, GPS, sensor data from your device, even from things near your device, such as Wi-Fi access points, cell towers and Bluetooth-enabled devices. Of course, these kinds of geographic data depend on the settings of your device – and some devices allow you to turn location settings on or off.

How We Use Information

There are a number of purposes for which we use information we collect:

Although we may provide information in aggregate form (that will not enable identification of any individual) to third parties for marketing, advertising, research or other uses, we do not share, sell, rent or lease personal information to anyone, unless we have your permission, or are required by law to do so or under the following limited circumstances:

  • If we have your consent (and we will always ask you for explicit and specific consent to share sensitive personal information);
  • With domain administrators who operate our website and Internet connections and to our site hosting and operational service providers who help us operate and maintain our business and technology, serving visitors and users, so long as those parties agree to keep the information confidential and comply with all the terms, conditions and requirements of this Privacy Policy.

We will always ask for your consent before we use your information for a purpose that isn’t covered by this Privacy Policy and if we do provide information to third parties outside the scope of these criteria, we only provide aggregated and compiled or derivative information that doesn’t reveal information about any individual people.

How We Collect Information

In addition to the information you voluntarily may give us, we use various technologies to automatically collect and store information. Technologies such as cookies, pixel tags, local storage (browser web storage or application data caches) and server logs.

Cookies and some similar technologies consist of small files sent to your computer when you visit our site. When you visit our site again, the cookie allows our site to recognize your browser. IP (Internet Protocol) Address is the number assigned to each and every device that connects to the Internet. These numbers are usually assigned in geographic blocks. An IP address can often be used to identify the location from which a device is connecting to the Internet.

Application Data Cache is a type of storage on your device that can improve application performance by allowing content to load faster. It may also enable a web application to run without an Internet connection if the information is stored on your device.

Browser Web Storage enables a site to store data in a browser on a device. When used in "local storage" mode, it enables data to be stored and retrieved, even after a browser has been closed and reopened.
