We’ve spent nearly 50 years working in industrial marketing. Long enough to see a lot change.
The products have gotten smarter. Buying journeys have gotten longer. Digital has changed how customers research, compare and make decisions. And marketing has gone from primarily communicating what a company makes to playing a much bigger role in how customers experience the business. So, we were pretty happy to see industrial marketing and our place in it get some recognition.
Manage Marketing has named Simantel its 2026 Top B2B Marketing Agency, featuring our team in its October issue and digging into something we’ve been thinking about a lot lately: Industrial marketing deserves its own playbook. Because while the fundamentals of good marketing haven’t changed, the complexity certainly has.
Industrial marketers are trying to reach engineers, procurement teams, dealers, distributors, sales teams and end users — sometimes all at once. They’re working across increasingly digital buying journeys while being asked to show measurable impact across the business.
And the questions we’re helping our clients answer have gotten bigger, too.
How do we better understand our customers? How do we help sales? How do we create a more connected experience? How can marketing contribute to the larger business strategy?
Those aren’t just campaign questions. As our owner, Tim Leesman, told Manage Marketing, products and engineering excellence will always matter. But increasingly, companies can also create an advantage by understanding their customers better and creating better buying experiences.
That’s the work we get excited about.
And while we’re proud of the recognition, we’re even more interested in what comes next for our clients, for their customers and for industrial marketing as a whole.
