  • Started at Simantel in 2016 as a temp project manager and has worked her way up the ranks of the management team to her current role as associate director of project planning
  • Mentors and trains new project planners, tees up the account planning leaders for success by setting up processes and rolls up her sleeves and digs into the work as a lead on larger projects
  • Attended St. Ambrose University and graduated with a bachelor’s in public relations and strategic communications and multiple minors in marketing, management and organization leadership
  • Makenzie is an outdoorsy girl who grew up hunting, fishing…and dancing. She danced growing up and joined the competitive dance team in college.
  • If she’s not at Simantel you can find her enjoying the outdoors or at a basketball game cheering on the team her husband coaches
  • Loves to root, root, root for the Cubbies and plans to pass on the fandom to her newborn son, Lee

Did you know?

Her husband’s family started the Heart of Illinois chapter of Whitetails Unlimited, a nonprofit organization committed to the betterment of white-tailed deer and their environment. Their Grassroots Program conducts a number of events each year to teach special needs youth about conservation, safety, and takes them on a youth hunt every October.
