Abby Bell Wins Women to Watch Award

Ok, we’re just going to say it: We’ve always known that Abby Bell, Simantel’s executive technology director, is one to watch. Now, DMNews and the rest of the industry knows it, too.

Every year, DMN identifies the best and brightest female talent in the marketing industry through the Marketing Hall of Femme honors. After 150 talented women were nominated for the Women to Watch category, Abby was one of 14 to be selected. This year’s nominees included senior marketing professionals from brands, non-profits, agencies and marketing tech and services vendors.

One of the many great things about Abby (and there are many) is that she is always willing to put in the hours and get her hands dirty. Her team knows that if she asks them to go above and beyond, she’s going to be right there next to them in the effort.

“Abby’s approach to marketing is to always find the best possible solution – no matter what it takes,” said Rachel Myers, marketing automation manager at Simantel. “Not the solution that may be easy or safe, but the solution that will bring the best customer experience possible. She’s constantly pushing the boundaries and getting it done,” she added.

While at Simantel, Abby has progressed from a marketing automation consultant to the director of marketing automation and, most recently, was promoted to an executive technology director. She has grown from an expert in Oracle Eloqua to an expert in technology.

Under Abby’s direction, we became Oracle Eloqua experts. With her help, we expanded our expertise to include technologies like SharpSpring and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, benefiting our clients and their varied needs immensely – all while helping our agency gain an edge in a very competitive technology space.

“Her ability to educate and explain the complicated nature of marketing automation processes and other technology to individuals with no prior knowledge of the field is invaluable in our industry,” said Misty Dykema, principal at Simantel. “Our clients have come to depend on Abby and her team to provide them with understandable, concise training on the technologies selected for their needs,” she added. “And let’s be honest, she’s just fun. People love working with Abby, and it’s easy to see why. She has a big heart and an even bigger drive to succeed.”

According to DMN, they remain dedicated to the mission of empowering women by giving them the recognition they deserve, while nurturing a community of female leaders to inspire the next generation of marketers. As a certified Women Enterprise Business ourselves, we couldn’t be more on board with DMN’s mission. And we couldn’t be prouder of our very own Abby Bell.

(Oh, and ask Abby what her go-to karaoke song is. I promise, it won’t “ruin your black-tie affair.”)
