Nick Knuffman-Brewer

  • Joined Simantel in 2022 as Associate HR Manager and because of his passion and skill soon advanced to HR Manager before settling into his current role as Associate HR Director
  • Leads or supports all things human resources including leadership trainings, development and training of career pathing, systems, policies, processes and procedures, benefits administration, compensation strategy and payroll
  • As the leader of the human resources and operations department, drives the creation of an excellent employee experience for every single one of our 160+ Simantelites across 22+ states. He’s even known to send hand-written notes just to show how much he cares.
  • Spearheaded Simantel’s first-ever wellness committee focused on providing holistic health benefits for employees
  • Active member of Simantel’s DEI committee that works to build a more inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels welcome, valued and free to be their full and authentic selves
  • When he’s not delighting Simantelites, he enjoys exploring the community, dining at his favorite local restaurants, entertaining at home, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and close friends
  • A father of two little boys, Nick has a huge heart for children and loves to give back any way he can, from supporting basic needs to education. Fun fact: Nick’s right at home teaching and was even an Adjunct Professor at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield for three years.
  • Involved with United Way and Illinois Foundation for FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). He’s also a member of the Western Illinois University (his alma mater) Hospitality Advisory Council, is a guest speaker for WIU Management and Marketing, and is a member of Central High School’s Business Advisory.

Did you know?

Nick’s degree is in Hospitality Business—and it shows. That summer he spent interning at Margaritaville in Lake of the Ozarks, MO to hone every aspect of his customer service skills really paid off.
