‘Don’t Shoot’ Recognized
The John Jay College of Criminal Justice—where Don’t Shoot author David M. Kennedy is a professor—gives its kudos to the Don’t Shoot Peoria campaign:
Peoria, IL, designed an extraordinary outreach effort to generate maximum community involvement and support for implementing the Center’s group violence reduction strategy, including the city-wide reading of David Kennedy’s book “Don’t Shoot” followed by a series of call-in radio shows hosted by Mayor Jim Ardis.
